Itinerary

Departure from Dar es Salaam around 8:30 am heading to Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park), where you will arrive around lunchtime.

Lunch at Mloka Safari Lodge. After resting, take a Boat Safari on the Rufiji River.

The Boat Safari on the Rufiji River is a unique and unforgettable experience that allows you to discover the wildlife of the Selous Game Reserve from a water point of view. During the boat safari, you can admire up close the wildlife of the Rufiji River, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and a wide variety of birds. The expert guide will lead you along the river, offering you the chance to observe the animals in a safe and environmentally respectful way.

The Boat Safari on the Rufiji River is an interesting alternative to traditional jeep trips, as it allows you to approach animals in a more discreet and quiet way, without disturbing their natural habitat.

Moreover, the view of the surrounding landscape from the river is breathtaking, providing a unique and different experience from the usual jeep safari.

Day of game drive in Selous game Reserve.The game drive in the Selous Game Reserve is a unique experience that allows you to explore the vast area of the reserve in search of wildlife.

Selous Reserve, now called Nyerere National Park, is located in Southeast Tanzania, is the second-largest reserve in the world and covers about 5% of the total surface area of Tanzania.

The Selous Reserve has remained an intact gem, a paradise of biodiversity. Crossed by the Rufiji River, it hosts an impressive number of wild animals.

During the game drive, you will be accompanied by an expert guide who knows the area well and will lead you through trails and dirt tracks to discover the animals of Selous.

The reserve is famous for its great variety of animals, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and crocodiles, just to name a few. Additionally, the reserve is an important transit area for migratory birds, with over 440 species of birds present in the area.

Cultural Tour to the village of Mloka to observe the everyday life of a real African village.

The Cultural Tour to the village of Mloka in Tanzania is an authentic experience that allows you to immerse yourself in local culture and discover the daily life of the people living in the area.

The tour enables you to interact with the villagers, who will warmly welcome you and show you their daily activities. After the visit you will depart for Dar Es Salaam, where you will arrive in about 4 hours drive.
